While you could learn how to make fast food-worthy fries at home, you might as well save yourself the trouble, because Burger King wants to give them to you for free for the next six months.

The chain is extending last year’s Frequent Fry’er promotion for the next six months, offering diners free french fries once a week when they make an order through their app.

How to get free Burger King fries for the next six months

Members of Burger King’s Royal Perks rewards program can receive free french fries—in small, medium, or large—when purchasing through the BK app. The promotion is available once a week through June 30, 2023, renewing on Mondays, when members can snatch more free fries.

All you need to do to take advantage is have a Royal Perks account and order via the app. To become a Royal Perks member, download the BK app and register, or go to bk.com and click “Sign Up.” Registration and membership is free, and it comes with other perks, like earning points for free or discounted meals, and other offers. Not all Burger Kings are participating in the offer, so make sure to contact your local Burger King first before ordering if you’re counting on those free spuds.

While it’s hard to make much of a case that Burger King has the best fries in the fast food business, the King does have one thing over McDonald’s: Burger King french fries are vegan. This might not make a world of difference to you, many vegans and vegetarians will appreciate the option of getting free fries that align with their dietary values. (If you’re curious why McDonald’s french fries aren’t considered vegetarian, let alone vegan, it’s because the recipe uses a beef flavoring ingredient derived from milk.)
