James Bond—as a character and a movie franchise—has become so deeply embedded in pop culture that even if someone hasn’t seen any of the films (or read any of Ian’s Fleming’s books), they can probably still rattle off a list of words and phrases associated with the fictional spy. Things like the character introducing himself as “Bond. James Bond,” that his drink of choice (or at least a cocktail that comes up in the movies) is a martini “shaken, not stirred,” and that the number 007 is somehow involved.

Anyway, if you haven’t seen all (or any) of the James Bond movies, or you’re in the mood for a rewatch, you may be interested in an opportunity to earn $1,000 for binge watching all 24 James Bond films. Here’s what you need to know about this job. This dream job.

What the position entails

The person selected to fill this role will be required to watch all 24 movies and take notes in a worksheet over the course of 30 days. Just so they’re handy, those films are:

  3. Goldfinger (1964)

  4. Thunderball (1965)

  5. You Only Live Twice (1967)

  6. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)

  7. Diamonds Are Forever (1971)

  8. Live and Let Die (1973)

  9. The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)

  10. The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

  12. For Your Eyes Only (1981)

  13. Octopussy (1983)

  14. A View to a Kill (1985)

  15. The Living Daylights (1987)

  16. License to Kill (1989)

  17. GoldenEye (1995)

  18. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)

  19. The World Is Not Enough (1999)

In exchange for your time and note-taking, Nerd Bear (your employer for the month) will pay you $1,000, as well as present you with a $50 AMC gift card so you can watch the release of the next Bond film in theaters, which is now scheduled to premiere on September 30, 2021. You’ll also receive a $100 Amazon gift card to rent the movies on Amazon Prime.

  • At least 18-years-old

  • A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
