Do you like candy? Do you have opinions about it? Are you looking for a job? If you answered “yes” to all three questions, you may be interested in learning more about a position that will pay you cash money to taste-test candy. And no, this isn’t one of those “dream job” contests—it’s an actual role with a candy company. Here’s what you need to know.
The position
There’s not just one job up for grabs: Candy Funhouse is hiring 10 people to taste some candy. Two of those positions are full-time (working 8-hour shifts) and the other eight are part-time (15 hours a week). They all pay $30/hour.
Although both ads indicate that the positions can be done remotely, they also say that the full-time position requires the candy tasting to be done in person—which presumably will be in Mississauga, Ontario, where the company is based. That’s kind of confusing, but cross that bridge when you get to it, I guess?
And here’s what the jobs entail:
Confectionary Taste Testing
Taste samples objectively

Full Time Position will require in person taste testing
Part Time Position will have confectionary products shipped remotely

These descriptions may be incorporated on our website and social media
The requirements
According to the ad, preference will be given to applicants who have an interest in candy, pop culture and media. Here are the other qualifications necessary for the job:
A high school diploma
Basic writing skills
Good communication skills
Fluent in English
Passionate about confectionary
Being a U.S. or Canadian citizen
Not having any food allergies
Being at least 18-years old
