Or maybe, given that things will look a little different this year, you’ll skip the turkey and make a pie your main course. Either way, you’ll want to make sure that you end up with the best pumpkin pie possible.
So what if we told you that you could have the chance to taste test a bunch of different pumpkin pies and get paid $500 to do it? Thanks to the latest “dream job” contest, you can. Here’s what to know.
The pumpkin pie position
Basically, the job entails traveling around your area and sampling the various pumpkin pies on offer, then judging them based on the following qualities:
Pie appearance and color
Pumpkin-ness and filling flavour
Pastry texture and firmness
Filling smoothness and texture
Combination of spices and complexity of flavors
Value for money
In addition to the $500, you’ll also get a food and local travel budget to cover any additional expenses.
How to apply
In order to be considered for the pumpkin pie taster position, you must be a resident of the United States or Canada, and at least 21 years-old. All you need to do is fill out this very short form (with your name, email address, state, and a brief statement about why you’d be perfect for the role) by Saturday, December 5th at 11:59pm EST. The winner/successful candidate will be chosen at random and notified by Monday, December 7th.
