Instead of the usual filing deadline of April 15, we have an additional month to procrastinate this year, until May 17. Your post-Tax-Day plans might involve drinking some alcohol, so you might be interested in an offer from Coors that’s giving away free 12-packs of their hard seltzer. Here’s what you need to know.
How to get free hard seltzer
Coors entered the already-crowded hard seltzer market in October 2020 with something slightly different: a partnership with the Change the Course initiative and a list of projects. According to the company, 500 gallons of clean water are restored for every 12-pack of their hard seltzer that is purchased (although it’s not entirely clear how that happens).
Anyway, Coors is “giving away” free 12-packs of their hard seltzer from now through Tax Day, May 17. Technically they’re reimbursing you once you purchase the seltzer at your local alcohol retailer. Here’s how that works:
Buy a 12-pack of Coors hard seltzer between now and May 17.
Take a photo of your receipt.
Upload a photo of your receipt here by May 24, 2021. The receipt photo must include the date of purchase, retailer location, and required purchase item(s) name or code.
Your rebate payment (a maximum of $20) will be sent to you via Venmo or PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal or Venmo account, you’ll have to create one and then reimbursement accept the payment within 30 days. That’s the only option for getting the money.
There’s a limit of one rebate per phone number.
It should go without saying that since this whole thing involves purchasing alcohol, you have to be at least 21-years old to take advantage of the offer. And in case you’re curious, the hard seltzer comes in four flavors: Black cherry, mango, grapefruit and lemon-lime.
