Many restaurants (mostly fast food) ask you to call, text, or go online to fill out a customer feedback survey. Most people ignore them, and understandably so—they can be tedious, sometimes long, and it might not feel worth it to give your email address away. But some of them offer cool deals, so if you do find it worthwhile to knock out a survey or two, here are some of the best offers.
Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A has surveys on their receipts, and offers the choice of a free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich or Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Just make sure the receipt is not more than two days old or the deal will be expired.
Checkers/Rally’s
Depending on what state you live in, you might have a Checkers or Rally’s. They’re essentially the same restaurant though, offering the same menu and food from the same manufacturer. Their receipts come with a survey, and if you complete it within 30 days, you can get any sandwich for free when you buy a large drink.
Zaxby’s
If you live in any of these 16 states, Zaxby’s, the southern-style fast-food restaurant, offers a buy-one-get-one Big Zax Snack if you complete their survey. Your receipt should have a survey code that you can enter on their site here, and then just answer the short questions about your experience.
Burger King
If you finish Burger King’s survey within 48 hours of your visit, they offer a free Whopper or Original Chicken Sandwich when you buy any size of drink and fries. To take the survey, enter the survey code on your receipt here.
Culver’s
Take Culver’s survey within 48 hours of your visit and you can get a free single scoop waffle cone or vanilla dish.
Dairy Queen
If you love Dilly bars, use the survey code on your Dairy Queen receipt to take their survey here. Do it within three days of your visit for a free Dilly bar—just make sure to claim it within 30 days or it’ll melt.
IHOP
You can get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes from IHOP when you complete their feedback survey listed on their receipt within three days of your visit. The deal expires 30 days from the date of the receipt.
McDonald’s
McDonald’s receipts have your choice of a buy-one-get-one free Quarter Pounder with cheese or an Egg McMuffin. The survey must be completed here within 30 days of the receipt date, and freebies have to be claimed within seven days of taking the survey.
Panda Express
If you go to Panda Express’ online feedback page, you can input the survey code from your receipt and get a free small entrée when you buy a two-entrée plate. You just have to complete the survey within two days of your visit.
Subway
According to Forbes, Subway is the restaurant with the most locations, with over 43,000 in more than 100 countries. Odds are, you live close to one. If you complete the survey on your receipt, they’ll give you a coupon code for...a free cookie. Not be the best deal, but at least it’s accessible, I guess. Some locations might not participate though, so ask when they hand you your receipt.
