How to Manage Your Passwords in Google Chrome

We’ve covered why you may want to get a third-party password managing app to handle all your passwords; however, if you don’t want to deal with an outside app, there are built-in features in the most popular web browser that can help you.

Chrome has its own password management system, which can come in very handy if you aren’t bouncing around browsers or apps. To access your passwords, click on the vertical ellipsis icon in the top-right corner of your Chrome window, then click “settings” and “passwords.” From there, you only need your Google account login to view, edit, and copy all your saved passwords. In the Chrome app, click the ellipsis icon in the bottom-right corner, and access settings from there.

You can also toggle settings like asking to save your passwords, auto sign-in, and checking for weak passwords. If you are using Chrome in this way, you can also have Chrome suggest an automatic strong password when you make a new account on a site, and then it will keep the info stored so you don’t have to remember the long string of letters and numbers. As a bonus, in the latest Android version, Chrome will change weak passwords with a single tap.
